CLEM CATALANO. Shell Rimula Hall of Fame Inductee.
Born in Bunbury, Western Australia, Clem grew up in a family deeply connected to transport and earthmoving. His father Joe and uncle Bill established what became B & J Catalano Pty Ltd in 1962.
When the business was short-staffed, his father would take him from the classroom and put him to work. Under Joe’s guidance, Clem learned to drive heavy haulage floats and load and unload a wide range of machinery before even finishing school.
Following Joe passing in 1995, Clem assumed a leading role in the family business alongside Bill, and cousin, Stephen. Although his responsibilities today are largely centred on managing the business, Clem still enjoys climbing behind the wheel, taking a truck out on the road and spending time away from the office.
Clem is also a founding member of the WA Mack Muster and Truck Show, which has raised significant funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. He continues to support cancer charities and community events across Western Australia.
