Secret Men’s Business #94: Robert & James Stevenson
Tasmanian, Robert Stevenson bought his 1978 Kenworth K121AS in 1989 from Telstra in Melbourne. He kept the truck until 2000, doing nearly 1,000,000 kilometres.
After Robert it went to two other owners in Tassie before coming to the mainland, eventually ending up in Western Australia, where James, Robert’s son, discovered it thanks to Face Book. Would they sell it? No.
This is the story of the truck, of James eventually managing to buy it back and surprising Robert with the news, a road trip to the mainland and another surprise in an interview with Truckin with Kermie on the way back home.
