Secret Men’s Business 116: Dean Conway
Dean Conway brought a special Mack V8 SuperLiner to the Mack Muster this year.
This truck was owned by ‘Plugger’ Bowden. Plugger did a world record in 1993, hauling the most amount of trailers. He did that run with a Mack supplied by the company.
That record was subsequently broken and Plugger though he’d have another go with Mack to supply another truck. Mack pulled out at the last moment so Plugger went with the SuperLiner you see here, pulling 29 trailers at Burke.
The truck was subsequently bought by a collector in Queensland and Dean was tasked with rebuilding the engine.
