They came and they conquered! Twenty eight of the best trucks from around Australia came to the Brisbane Truck Show to take part in the inaugural Best of the Best Competition.
At the end of the four day event just one was left standing with the Champion of Champions Trophy being awarded to Cornwill Transport from Geelong, Victoria.
The truck has been a labour of love from Troy, Wayne and Rick – and indeed the wider family who came to Brisbane to join in the festivities – and do a lot of polishing!
They were still polishing and cleaning after the judging had been completed, and indeed, even after the Champion of Champions cup had been presented to them. This is how you win a truck show.
The judges stated that they were looking for all the minutest things – just as a Car Concourse does. Look at the 2.30 minute mark in the video for example and you will see a glimpse of one of their tyres. It has been cleaned in between the treads! It is this and the myriad of other things that resulted in their win.
