Chris Teal drives for Waycon Haulage these days. As he mentioned in his message, “No more interstate Cob. Thirty-four years is enough. Ya don’t even get that for murder.”

From Edenhope, Chris started doing woodchip but that basically died off before Easter. “Wayne also has a wood business so I go up the bush every morning and pick up logs for firewood, which I load myself with an 8 wheel forwarder.

COVID -19 is affecting everyone but I suppose with people stuck at home they are burning more wood, so I stay in a job.”

Chris’ truck is four years old with 425,000km on the clock. With 550/580 on cruise, Chris reckons the Cummins pulls like a 14 year old. “Typical red motor,” he says. “The more you put on the better she pulls.”

Chris’ other claim to fame – the first being that he is a truckie – is that his brother, Roderick Teal is a Muso. With one arm he plays a mean Harmonica and featured at the opening of the Sydney Olympics.

Chris finished off with this message: “All the very best, Kerm. You’ll kick arse. Us ole fellas know who you are.”

Cheers Chris and thanks for the vote of confidence, mate.

Here’s a couple of video clips. The first is Chris up in the bush woodchipping. The second is his brother, Roderick, doing a mean Harp.
