TAXIBOX bats a Six with Shogun.

 
 

TAXIBOX delivers storage containers to customers and then returns to take and store them at one of their multiple storage facilities located across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The company has recently added six new Fuso Shoguns to its fleet.

The innovative company offers customer-friendly features including an app that helps them estimate what will be able to fit in the box before it arrives and allows them to track their TAXIBOX delivery in real time.   

TAXIBOX chose the Shogun 360 model, the 10.7-litre six-cylinder turbo diesel that is linked to a 12-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). 

“We’ve been happy with the Shogun’s so far. The extra grunt means making the job easier for our drivers, particularly in the more complex and steep delivery network of Sydney and Melbourne’s inner city suburbs,“ says Ben Cohn, TAXIBOX’s CEO.

Delivered through Daimler Trucks Dandenong by salesperson Brett Munro, the TAXIBOX Shoguns came standard with a full-suite of active safety features.

As with any customers who purchase Shoguns, TAXIBOX benefitted from a free Truck Training service, in which a Fuso representative takes customers through a full product training session to point out all the benefits of the truck and how to get the most out of it.

Shogun models feature 50,000km service intervals and a come five years or 500,000km, whichever comes first. 50,000km or 12 months

In the sixteen years it has been around, TAXIBOX has made close to 80,000 deliveries.

The company drops containers (2.4m x 2.2m) to customers. They can be filled by the customer or with assistance before they are delivered to the nearest TAXIBOX location for storage.

 It allows customers to access their storage boxes whilst being stored. TAXIBOX has recently expanded its service offering to include interstate moving, international moving a variety of new commercial storage solutions.
