Beamsey owns what is, these days a very rare truck – a Fiat 684T.
From thousands that were imported into Australia, it is believed there may be a few as four still running.
Their initial popularity was the price, which gave them the nick-name ‘the poor man’s Mack’. This later became ‘The Vatican Mack’.
Beamsey is keeping a special part of Australian trucking history alive with his truck. And who knows, maybe it brings him closer to God? Or not?
