Hall of Fame – What does the future hold?
There has been much commentary over whether the Road Transport Hall of Fame can survive into the future – some fact and more than a bit of fiction.
At this year’s event, a number of people spoke of The Hall, going forward - Chair Frank Bilato, NT MP Josh Burgoyne, Interim Manager Bill Sankey and Shell Rimula’s Nick Lubransky.
All spoke passionately and believe fervently in the Hall’s future.
Here is a recording I made of their speeches at this year’s induction ceremony.
Of course a speech or four is not going to hold your attention for long, so I’ve backed them up with video of the trucks that made their way to Alice Springs from around the country to join some locals in the Festival of Transport. This is footage not seen in the Festival of Transport Convoy video.
