IVECO reflects on 2025 sales successes

2025 was a challenging year for the Australian truck market with total sales contracting by almost 12% compared to 2024, according to full year Truck Industry Council (TIC) data, yet despite the decline there were several performance standouts for IVECO.

In the heavy segment, IVECO continued to build on its strong recent results, with increasing adoption of S-Way models along with the latest ACCO range, seeing the brand record strong sales which represented a year-on-year increase of 8.23%, the largest of any manufacturer in a segment that declined 16.65%.

In the hotly contested medium duty segment, IVECO maintained its position as the best-selling European brand, a performance that is set to improve in 2026 following the introduction of the latest Eurocargo range in Australia and New Zealand late last year, featuring enhanced drivelines, greater safety features and driver appointments.

IVECO also maintained its long-term position as the country’s favourite European light cab chassis, making it 12 years in a row. Again, IVECO is focused on improving this performance in 2026 by leveraging its soon to be released (Q2 2026) new Daily range.

The latest release will include a major interior upgrade, additional active and passive safety features and will offer further improvements in emission performance, with the transition from Euro 6 ‘Step D’ to the more stringent ‘Step E’ measure.

The Daily has been Australia's best selling European light truck cab chassis for 12 years running.

When it comes to emission performance, while some competitors are dealing with teething issues transitioning from Euro 5 to Euro 6, IVECO has proven technology. Daily has met Euro 6 since 2015, Eurocargo since 2017, with ACCO and X-Way (S-Way predecessor) complying in 2019 and 2018 respectively.

IVECO Trucks Australia Head of Sales and Marketing, Blaire Race, said the combination of fresh product, Dealer Network growth and streamlining of aftersales support services, positioned IVECO well for the year ahead.

“IVECO is in the midst of an exciting product roll-out that has recently seen enhancements to our ACCO and Eurocargo line-ups, along with a refresh of Daily 4x4 – the new models will continue in 2026 with the latest Daily 4x2 release. Additionally, supply and pricing is looking favourable this year for prospective customers,” Ms. Race commented.

“We also see increasing sales opportunities in the vocation market – especially in waste – where we’re working with industry partners to grow our product offerings to local government and private operators particularly in compactor and street sweeping applications.

“Product aside, we’re concentrating on making IVECO a preferred partner for our customers by enhancing our suite of aftersales services, including wider availability of telematics, tailored service and maintenance programs and extended warranties, all of which are designed to maximise uptime.

“This year will also see continued investment in the IVECO Dealer Network – together these key focuses provide us with strong optimism for 2026 and beyond.”
